Polar Bears FC

Christina Youngblood - U8 Coach

I have been playing soccer my whole life, since I was 5 years old.  I played NJSL growing up with my dad as my coach and was captain of my high school varsity soccer team as a 3 year letter recipient.
This is my first year coaching which I'm excited to make memories with my son Parker and all the kiddos.  I still love to play soccer every chance I get and I also love to read, run, and spend time with my family.  Go polar bears!!

Mike Croston - U10 Coach

Soccer has always been a big part of my life, from playing throughout school to now coaching my kids and their teams. I’ve been coaching soccer for the last few years and truly enjoy helping young athletes develop their skills, confidence, and love for the game. This season, I’m excited to once again be part of the Polar Bears FC family and I am looking forward to growing with the team, both on and off the pitch.

Beyond soccer, I stay busy also coaching baseball and staying involved in Scouting America, where I’ve been active since earning my Eagle Scout in high school. I believe in hands-on learning, problem-solving, and teamwork—values I bring to the soccer pitch as well. My approach to coaching is simple: encourage effort, teach the fundamentals, and guide players to think through challenges so they can grow as athletes and teammates.

I’m looking forward to a great season and many more to come!

Darin Miller - U10 Coach

I have 2 children Hannah(13) and Bryson(9) whom both play soccer for PBFC. My wife Sarah and I married 15 years ago and began raising our family in Jackson township. I am a life long Polar Bear as I graduating from Jackson in 2000, and in fact our kids and I both went to the same elementary school.

I have been in some sort of soccer program for roughly 28 years be it a player, a coach a parent or even running a club. I played in competitive or recreational soccer leagues for around 20 years. I was one of the assistant coaches to help start the Sandy Valley High School soccer program back in 2014 - 2015. I have been coaching at all age levels consistently over the last 7 years as my kids started to get involved with the sport.

My overall goal for your children is to build their general soccer awareness and technical skills and most importantly to provide a fun and safe atmosphere that will encourage them to want to play again NEXT time. I look forward to seeing the growth of our young players and of course have some soccer FUN!

Jeneanne Ballos - U10 Coach

I have been playing soccer for almost 40 years and still get the same joy each time I step on the pitch. I hope to help foster in our kids the same love of the game. I started helping coach the last couple of years when my children began playing with NJSL. My coaching style is to be encouraging and positive, helping to gently push each kid to try their best, learn teamwork, and have fun. I immensely enjoy seeing our kids grow in their skills and confidence on the field, and am looking forward to being a part of your child’s soccer journey!

Brian Biallas - U10 Coach

I started coaching soccer last fall for the second time in my life. I previously coached for three years in a different organization. I have 15 years of experience coaching youth sports. I am looking forward to creating a team that strives to improve with each game and practice. My key points are teamwork, self confidence, and developing a love for the game. I coach through positive reinforcement and believing in your team's potential. Also a huge Ted Lasso fan.

Drew Archer - U12 Coach

I have three kids; Tucker(11), Abigail(8), Annabel(6). My wife, Ashley, and I have raised our family in Jackson twp. for the last 8 years. We enjoy family time, being outdoors, skiing, hiking, and fishing. Kids activities keep us busy with the girls heavily involved in dance and Tucker enjoying soccer with his friends.

I have a background in soccer starting when I was U10 and playing through high school. I dabbled during college on club and intramural teams. After a long break, I’m happy to be back involved in a sport that I enjoyed so much. This is the perfect time to get kids involved with soccer with the WORLD CUP bring hosted in the US in 2026.

My coaching style is firm and supportive. I try and focus on building character though hard work and team unity. Our players will be encouraged to support one another on and off the pitch. We will celebrate wins and improve from losses.

Thank you or the opportunity to coach your players. I’m looking forward to another great season as part of the Polar Bears Football Club.

Jon Wilkof - U12 Coach

I began coaching 3 years ago to help out on my son's team. As a coach, I value players developing as individuals and as part of a team. I'm proud to be part of a club that prioritizes players first.

Kirk Fiorentino - U12, U14 & U18 Coach

I started coaching youth soccer roughly around 1997 for Massillon YMCA rec division. Been coaching ever since. I have also coached at the HS level for about 12 years at Tuslaw, Timken, Marlington and Sandy Valley. I also play soccer for an adult team as the teams goalie. My Philosophy that I teach to the kids is Play Hard, Play Fair and have Fun.

John Weston - U14 Coach

The last five years have been a rewarding journey in the local soccer community, driven by my four children's involvement and my coaching. Seeing Maxwell and Owen's continued love for the game is fantastic, but the real joy comes from working with the fantastic kids and parents in our area. I'm honored to play a role in fostering their passion for soccer and contributing to their positive experiences.

Tom Welch - U10 & U14 Coach

I have been enjoying coaching youth soccer for the past 5 years. I enjoy watching the kids grow and develop knowledge of the great game of soccer. I have two children who I love watching play soccer and at the same time learn about life through sports. I also enjoy scrimmaging with the kids and challenging my self to make the best use of time to make a practice both fun and challenging!
